Michael is an attorney with Charlotte Christian Law and is based in the Huntsville, Alabama office. Michael practices family law, focusing on high asset divorces, adoption, child custody, and visitation matters. Michael was drawn to domestic relations work because he believes this area of law provides the greatest opportunity to help people in situations that involve the people, places and possessions that are valued most.
Prior to joining Charlotte Christian Law, Michael most recently served as Deputy Court Administrator and as the Staff Attorney for both the Chief Judge and the Presiding Judge for the Augusta Judicial Circuit. He has also served as law clerk to the Administrative Judge for the Second Circuit Court in Maryland and for a regional insurance defense firm in Wilmington, Delaware. Michael’s legal experience includes insurance defense litigation, criminal and civil trials and extensive family law exposure ranging from drafting divorce, adoption, legitimation and name change orders, to preparation for family law hearings and trials.
Michael graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. degree in Political Science. He obtained his JD from Widener Delaware Law School and his MBA from Widener School of Business Administration. Michael was the first Widener student to earn both his JD and MBA in just three years.
Michael enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends and his interests include marathon running, squash, golf and volunteer work with numerous charitable organizations, including Goodwill Industries.
