You will be responsible for developing and maintaining case strategy, communicating with clients, and rendering legal advice. Additionally, you will ensure that your assigned paralegal has a full workload and task list and communicates any concerns with the Lead Paralegal. You will report to the Managing Attorney or assigned Lead Attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and paid strategy sessions with clients, both virtually and in-person,
  • and advise appropriate intake and sales personnel if potential new client plans to
  • convert
  • Communicate with clients and other parties to provide updates, answer questions
  • about the status of their case, and provide legal direction and advice
  • Maintain regular contact with each client on a weekly basis by written
  • correspondence, phone call, or text
  • Monitor client trust accounts and issues deposit requests to maintain file above
  • minimum trust balance and to cover upcoming events
  • Create tasks for appropriate deposit requests when and as needed
  • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and essential time frames/milestones
  • Work with assigned paralegal to draft legal documents and reviews all work product

  • Attend and appear at case settings and mediation to represent clients
  • Communicate with opposing counsel regarding case resolution and issues
  • Finalize and extensively review all discovery, including intensive review of client
  • production documents
  • Ensure all work product is reviewed by the Managing Attorney or assigned Lead

  • Enter billable and non-billable time in the case management system on a
  • contemporaneous daily basis

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree and admission to the state bar
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage a high-volume and time-sensitive workflow effectively and
  • efficiently

Salary

$85,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year

Experience

  • Family law: 2 years (Required)
  • License/Certification: Bar License in Alabama (Required)
