Britney Lucinda Retess

Britney has been admitted to the practice of law in 2020 passing the UBE Bar. She received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she focused on family law and advocacy. During her time in law school, she was an active participant and board member of many organizations and teams including her stead as the National Secretary for the National Black Law Student’s Association during their 50th anniversary year and mentoring highschoolers in the Street Law program.
Britney began her journey in family law during her teenage years when her grandparents adopted her and her twin sister. From there Britney focused on building skills to provide effective and empathetic counsel and advocacy to her clients. At Northern Illinois University she graduated with a degree in Sociology and Minor in Women’s Studies focusing on qualitative research and children’s rights and continues to focus on a thorough understanding of the everchanging legal system to best help her clients.
In her free time, Britney enjoys various physical and mental pursuits and is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
